Finally making it all work
Got everything set up finally on my new laptop. So, the site should finally start taking shape. Hope to put some pictures up before too long and start filling in the empty parts.
In unrelated news, just 19 days left at my job.
More unrelated news, I will be taking an intensive Chinese class this summer. Should be fun!

And I am done.
My decision is made. I will be attending Foster starting in September for my MBA. Now to finish off work and enjoy my summer.

Just a couple of months now
I counted today, I think there are 63 work days left. It is really tough to describe how excited I am about that.

How it came to this
I had the idea in the back of my mind for some time. I'd even browsed the websites and requested some informational brochures while I was living overseas. Hell - I had bought a GMAT study book. Problem is, I didn't bother to open it. Months passed. I found myself making preparations to leave my "home" of three years. I was engaged, I had a new, exciting job lined up back in the states. Other than breaking my pledge to myself not to go back while Bush was in office, things were looking pretty good.
I flew back to the states, with only nine days between my last job and my new one. One of those days on a plane. One at a friend's wedding. That left three days overseas, and four days stateside for everything else. Relaxing, seeing friends and family. But it didn't matter, I was excited. I got my new drivers license. I was now a resident of *a* state!
I started my first day at a new job. I was excited. Of course I was. I could see my future there. Sure, the first few days didn't quite match my expectations - but thats how things always happen. A few more weeks passed, and things were still not as expected. It hardly dampened my enthusiasm - things would change once the "major project" was completed. They didn't. Months passed. It was time for me to go back to school.

It was the best of time, it was the blurst of times
It all started a few months ago, way back in 2007. We were having one of our "special" conversations. You know the kind. Having a great time, laughing so hard we were gasping for air between speaking. The kind of conversation that, if you tried to explain it to someone, would likely get you placed in an asylum. It seems we *may* have come to the topic of a particular episode of "The Simpsons" when we decided we HAD to claim this website. If you don't know which episode I am referring to, then there is no point in my explaining it. You wouldn't understand anyway. So, we promptly bought the domain where it sat idle for months. Finally, it is time for the website to take shape. Welcome to theblurst.com
